Daniëlle Kramer examines to what extent general neighbourhood safety and specific safety issues are linked to the recreational behaviour (walking, cycling and sports activities) of adults in the Netherlands. In her research she examines whether the Community Approach (Wijkenaanpak) introduced in 2008 has led to changes in safety and recreational behaviour.
