Concomitant with the rise of obesity, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has become the most prevalent liver disorder in children and adults in the Western world. Despite its high prevalence, knowledge on NAFLD is insufficient to provide clear guidelines for the clinical care of NAFLD. Bart Koot focuses on diagnostics, treatment and complications of NAFLD in children.
