Natalya Martynova presents three research papers into banking. Besides highlighting the importance of contingent capital regulation as a risk prevention mechanism, she also focuses on the effect of the organisational structure of financial institutions on the nature of risk transfer via securitisation. Martynova also focuses on regulatory arbitrage showing the effect of franchise value on the ability of a bank to raise funding and to make risky gambles.
