Nienke Ruijs conducts four research studies into questions surrounding the economics of education. She investigates the choice for high schools in Amsterdam and the effects of losing a school lottery on pupils’ performance. She also looks at the presence of children with special educational needs in regular classrooms and at the effects of secondary Montessori education.
