To reduce work-related musculoskeletal disorders among Dutch construction workers, the exposure to high physical work demands and workload should be decreased. A reduction of these demands can be achieved by using ergonomic measures. Steven Visser evaluates different ergonomic measures for reducing physical work demands and workload in two highly demanding construction jobs: screed floor layers and ironworkers.
