It is known that a child’s dental health is linked to the social-economic status of its parents. Little, however, is known about the factors that might explain this. Denise Duijster explores the parental and family-related psychosocial determinants of childhood dental caries, and their potential role in socio-economic inequalities in children’s dental health.
