General practitioners (GPs) experience several barriers when integrating evidence-based medicine (EBM) into daily practice. These barriers are related to insufficient knowledge and skills, a negative attitude, and to the GP’s specific practice. Ellen te Pas identifies the barriers to EBM faced by GP trainers and designs an educational intervention based on educational evidence.
