Adverse drug events (ADEs) are an important source of morbidity and mortality in hospitals. Eveline Boeker studies the occurrence and nature of ADEs in surgical patients as compared to non-surgical patients. Her research also focuses on the development of medical safety interventions, taking into account the patient, system and medication factors associated with ADEs.
