Annalisa Milano’s research focuses on the genetics of cardiac electrical phenotypes, an area that is relevant for the ECG technology used to diagnose cardiac disorders. She investigates newly identified genes and genetic variants that are associated with cardiac disease and specifically with sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), as well as variants that modulate ECG parameters. Her research makes use of a broad range of state-of-the-art technologies and experimental approaches.
