In cases of acute ischemic stroke, a method known as Computed Tomography Perfusion (CTP) can be used to detect areas of the brain affected by reduced blood supply. Fahmi Fahmi studies and quantifies the pitfalls of using CTP in patients who have suffered acute ischemic stroke. He also explores ways of compensating head movements in patients undergoing a CTP scan.
