Konda Babu Kurakula carries out research into the mechanisms underlying a number of vascular and immune diseases. He studies the role of the nuclear receptor Nur77 and the protein FHL2. He focuses specifically on vascular diseases such as restenosis and coagulation, and immune diseases including asthma and schistosomiasis (infection caused by parasitic worms).
