The paradigmatic shift from qualitative to quantitative analysis of biological systems has produced a substantial number of modelling approaches for molecular biology research. However, the introduction of new models has outstripped efforts at model validation, which means that many models remain untested and a gap has arisen between the number of available models and their reliability. Dicle Hasdemir presents computational approaches and guidelines for reliable model validation.
