General relativity and quantum mechanics have provided an enormous boost to the fields of cosmology and particle physics. Although the standard model of particle physics and the theory of cosmological inflation are extremely successful in predicting and explaining observations, several questions remain unanswered. For example, attempts at reconciling quantum mechanics and general relativity remain largely unsuccessful. Furthermore, it remains unknown which of the many models of cosmological inflation correctly describes our universe. By investigating topics within the fields of holography and cosmology, Benjamin Mosk aims to offer new insights into the universe.
