Nena Tromp-Vrkić presents a comprehensive analysis of the record of the trial of former Serbian leader Slobodan Milošević at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague. Snapshots of behaviour displayed by Milošević in court and quotations from his defense (which he conducted himself) are combined with passages of carefully selected evidence from an immense archive familiar to only a handful of scholars. To help navigate the intricacies of competing courtroom narratives Tromp-Vrkić focuses on three topics: the Leader, the Ideology and the Plan.
