Accreting millisecond pulsars are rapidly rotating neutron stars that form part of low-mass X-ray binary stars. Peter Bult studies the X-ray variability of accreting millisecond pulsars, bringing together coherent and stochastic variations to gain a clearer insight into the nature of the accretion process.
