E-infrastructures, which are made up data centres, networks and collaborative environments, incur tremendous energy costs and CO2 emissions. However, the energy monitoring and management tools currently available are not suitable for scientific e-infrastructures that run across multiple administrative domains. Hao Zhu sets out to define a semantic information model, in order to develop an effective mechanism for data interoperability and knowledge-sharing in e-Infrastructures.
