The spectacular advances in realising cold-atom experiments in the past decade has prompted much interest in the study of relaxation in isolated many-body quantum systems. In his research, Bram Wouters addresses questions of dynamics and equilibration from the perspective of quantum integrable systems in one dimension. More specifically he describes a powerful new method coined the quench action approach.
