Despite the identification of a number of cellular mechanisms underlying the development of acute kidney failure, insight into the pathophysiology of this condition is as yet limited. In his research, Uğur Aksu presents the findings of various experimental therapeutic approaches to the treatment of acute kidney injury. He investigates whether fluid resuscitation has an effect on renal oxygenation.
