Writs complaints are a considerable social-economic problem as these complaints are an important reason for long-term absences from work among employees. It is of great importance to recognise and properly diagnose problems in the writs at an early stage to prevent irreversible degenerative pathologies from developing. It is not possible to quantify wrist instabilities using the currently available clinical diagnostic modalities, which means ligament injuries often go undiagnosed and untreated. The main objective of Mayhar Foumani's research is to introduce new methods for assessment and quantification of in-vivo carpal kinematics.
