In his research Daniël Geerts uses data collected with the ATLAS detector to study the production of top-quarks. There are a number of theories that predict the behaviour of these heavy quarks, and the aim is to test these against the available data. To do this, Geerts performs a single top t-channel cross section measurement at TeV using the 2012 ATLAS data.
