The central aim of Evin Aktar’s research is to investigate the effect of early life exposure to parents’ depression and anxiety on the social and emotional developments of babies. She focuses specifically on infants’ emotional and behavioural reactions in their interactions with their parents, and the attention they pay to emotional expressions.
