Although children acquire languages easily, they do sometimes encounter difficulties with interpreting words correctly. Examples of these words are reflexives (eg. himself), pronouns (eg. him) and quantifiers (eg. every). Margreet van Koert investigates the interaction between quantifiers and reflexives or pronouns in the first language acquisition of monolingual and bilingual children.
