Forms of upper gastrointestinal cancer, including esophageal, gastric and pancreatic cancer, are still highly lethal, despite advances in surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and specific targeted therapy. In his research, Sil Kordes investigates the clinical possibility and efficacy of combining conventional (chemo)therapy with targeted therapies aims at inhibiting specific oncogenic pathways in upper gastrointestinal cancer patients.
