Cloud computing has many advantages for both customers and service providers in helping them utilise and manage computing and network resources more efficiently. This development does also bring new security challenges with it, however. Canh Ngo investigates the access control requirements for cloud infrastructure systems composed of computer and networking components. Based on these findings he proposes a flexible and efficient access control approach that not only protects distributed cloud resources but also takes into account cloud infrastructure topology and characteristics.
