Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is a genetic disorder characterised by high cholesterol levels. Patients also have a higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease. In her research, Meeike Kusters focuses on the screening, treatment and follow up of FH patients, from pregnancy to young adulthood.
