We often adjust our behaviour based on past experiences, a phenomenon known as reinforcement learning. Irene van de Vijver-Sandee investigates the structural and functional brain connectivity that underlies successful reinforcement learning. She also studies how age-related changes to brain connectivity relate to changes in learning behaviour.
