Climate regulation services are produced through exchanges of greenhouse gases, aerosols, water and energy between ecosystems and the atmosphere, which produce different climate benefits. With his research, Héctor Serna Chavez aims to increase our understanding of the ecosystem properties and processes involved in climate regulation services, in order to develop effective economic instruments and management actions.
