Rectal adenomas are benign lesions in the rectum that can develop into rectal tumours. Removal of these rectal adenomas can be challenging, however, as there is a risk of infection and other complications. Gijsbert Musters investigates endoscopic treatment of these lesions, as well as predictive factors, prevention and surgical treatment of complications resulting from their removal.
