Recent years has seen a rise in the incidence of small renal masses in aging patients who are often affected by multiple comorbidities. This has created a need for accurate diagnostic techniques complemented by innovative, minimally invasive treatment options. The aim of Peter Wagstaff’s research is to investigate and advance two new techniques: Optical Coherence Tomography, a high-resolution optical imaging technique, and a novel focal ablative technique for use in renal mass therapy.
