Insomnia is one of the most prevalent mental health problems in adolescents, with high chronicity and severe consequences for daily life. Until now, however, effectiveness of treatment has not been established for this age group. The aim of Ed de Bruin’s research is to examine feasible, easily accessible and effective treatment for insomnia in adolescents. As part of the research, he developed a treatment protocol for this age group.
