Reading comprehension is one of the most important abilities children acquire in primary education. Insight into reading comprehension assessment is essential as reading comprehension tests are found to differ in terms of the comprehension skills that are assessed and the cognitive abilities that are required. The aim of Marlous Muijselaar’s research is to gain more insight into the use of reading strategies and assess the influence of these strategies on reading comprehension.
