Matthias Oelke’s research focuses on bladder outlet obstruction in adult males. The aim is to determine whether damage of the urinary tract in patients with lower urinary tract symptoms is really related to this form of obstruction. He also suggests trials to clarify the incidence and pathophysiology of urinary tract complications, and identify which group is most likely to develop such complications.
