Hyke Tamminga’s research aims to advance our understanding of the relationship between cognition, stimulant use and development in ADHD, in order to improve informed decision making in ADHD treatment. She wants to find out whether the cognitive effects of treatment with methylphenidate leads to cognitive alterations. Tamminga therefore studies the cognitive functioning of children and adults, to see whether she can find evidence of acute and persistent of methylphenidate treatment.
