As the scientific method is based on observations, the advancement of science depends on that of technology that allows us to experience natural phenomena beyond our common senses. Francesco D’Angelo contributes to this process in a specific way by advancing an experimental technique called terahertz (THz) spectroscopy, in particular the type based on air photonics. Apart from a study of the experimental technique itself, his research also includes the first observations made via a THz air photonics spectrometer.
