Coronary artery disease, the narrowing or blocking of the coronary arteries, is the leading cause of death worldwide. If occlusions are located at the level of a bifurcation, they are more dangerous and paired with more complications than occlusions located in a straight section of an artery. Maik Grundeken investigates how such bifurcation lesions can best be measured and treated.
