Vincent Odekerken two treatment options for patients with advanced parkinson’s disease: deep brain stimulation of the part of the brain called the globus pallidus and of the part called the subthalamicus. The aim is to evaluate which form of deep brain stimulation patients should undergo. He looks at results one year and three years after surgery.
