For decades, detectors and satellites have been searching for dark matter, mysterious particles whose existence is inferred by gravitational effects but which have never been observed. Hamish Silverwood investigates new methods for improving the analyses of detectors and predicting the density of local dark matter. The aim is to improve our chances of eventually observing dark matter.
