In daily life, our immune system is triggered by a multitude of potential immunogenic stimuli and/or microbes. These are recognised by a variety of receptors that subsequently activate pro-inflammatory pathways in different types of immune competent cells. The aim of Korneliusz Golebski’s research is to better understand the role of the epithelium in the complexity of the pro-inflammatory responses triggered by environmental stimuli and the consequences for the local tissue immunity.
