Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is a relatively common form of hereditary dyslipidemia, characterised by high levels of plasma low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. In her research Barbara Sjouke describes investigates genotype-phenotype associations in hereditary forms of hypercholesterolemia. She also looks at recent developments relating to treatment options for patients with this disease.
