Around two million children are infected with HIV worldwide. Ragna Boerma’s research focuses on first-line and second line antiretroviral treatment of children in sub-Saharan Africa. Some of the aspects she investigates are treatment outcomes for a cohort of children in Nigeria and Uganda and the effect of pre-treatment HIV drug resistance on these outcomes.
