Marianne Verschoor’s research focuses on treatment options for women who suffer a miscarriage during the first trimester. She looks at the effectiveness, advantages and disadvantages of the currently available treatment options, which are surgical treatment (curettage), medical treatment with misoprostol and expectant management. She focuses specifically on short-term complications of surgical treatment and the management of incomplete evacuation after medical treatment.
