Emily Miltenburg argues that the way a neighbourhood's composition affects residents' economic prospects varies for different subgroups of residents. The aim her research is to investigate to what extent the impact of the level of deprivation in the neighbourhood on residents' socio-economic outcomes is conditional upon neighbourhood-specific social contacts and interactions, residential histories, household configurations, and relocation destinations after urban renewal.
