Jessica di Salvatore investigates the unintended consequences of peacekeeping missions in war-torn countries. Does the presence of armed ethnic groups hamper peacekeeping efforts? And are peacekeeping forces as effective at decreasing criminal violence as they are at lessening political violence? These are some of the questions her research aims to answer.
