Organocatalysis is an emerging approach to chemical synthesis with important applications in biotechnology and the drug industry. The potential of enantioselective synthesis is the most important advantage of organocatalytic synthesis, particularly for the production of drugs. Mina Raeisolsadati Oskouei introduces fluorescence spectroscopy as a new tool for gaining insight into the interactions between the substrates and catalyst during organocatalytic reactions.
