In the years following the commercialization of super-resolution microscopes, several studies have been published that apply super-resolution microscopy to answer biological questions. However, super-resolution microscopy is still in its infancy and optimisation of labels, buffers, sample preparation methods, methods for visualisation and correct data analysis are still being developed. Daniela Leyton Puig presents two studies that focus on the improvement of the quality of super-resolution images.
