Soft condensed matter comprises materials that are neither simple liquids nor crystalline solids. Common examples found in every day life are soap, toothpaste, glues, gels, cements, paints and rubber. The aim of Maureen Dinkgreve's research is to increase our understanding of the mechanical properties and flow behaviour of these kinds of materials.
