Annoek Louwers aims to enhance our knowledge of the assessment and management of upper extremity functioning in children and adolescents with cerebral palsy. She develops and evaluates the validity and reliability of a test aimed at assessing how effectively adolescents spontaneously use the affected hand as an assisting hand during bimanual tasks. She also investigates the effect of two interventions for improving hand use and daily performance in children and adolescents with cerebral palsy.
