In recent years, epigenetics has gained a lot of interest, partly due to newly discovered drugable targets to modulate inflammatory conditions. Ronald Schilderink investigates different attempts to modulate inflammatory cells by interfering with epigenetic mechanisms. He focuses specifically on the modulation of inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease.
