Obesity and Type 2 diabetes are believed tob e caused by a series of multiple risk factors including a sedentary lifestyle, genetic predisposition and increased food intake. In addition, alterations in gut microbiota composition are strongly associated with the pathogenesis of obesity and T2DM.
