An important fcator in the development of obesity is overeating, especially of foods with high amounts of fat and sugar. Some studies have shown that ingestion of high caloric foods alter behavioural rhythms of general locomotor activity and food intake. However, the effects on the circadian system of reward activity are not well known. Aurea Blancas Velázquez studies the relationship between high caloric food intake and the circadian system in the brain.
